At the British Hip Society meeting in Leeds, March 2007, Mukesh Hemmady, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon from Wrightington Hospital & Jim Wimhurst, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon from the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital were awarded the American Hip Society Travelling Fellowship. This occurs in the autumn of alternate years and involves visiting various specialist hip surgery centres in the USA & Canada in the 3 weeks leading up to the American Hip Society Annual Meeting.

This year we are fortunate to be visiting London Ontario, Boston, New York, Philidelphia, Chicago, Vancouver, Stanford & Los Angeles.

The aim of this blog is to record our experiences of hip surgery in North America.
